As well as providing clients with general advice and expertise during project inception and execution on both existing facilities and new builds, JCL International can also provided extensive IT services that allow the client to best utilize their operations post construction.

Network Solutions and Services

The IT management package offered by JCL allows the client to identify their computing requirements by defining measurable, reliable and secure solutions to IT network and infrastructure problems. Once the clients requirements have been identified JCL will proceed with the design, build and implementation of the upgrade to the clients existing network or new infrastructure in a green field environment. This process is applied in conjunction with or in addition to existing MIS resources.

Additional areas of network expertise include:

  • The provision or upgrading of Local-Area Networks (LAN), Wide-Area Networks (WAN) and Wireless applications. Whether upgrading network hardware or installing into “bare wall” office space, JCL provides fully redundant, robust, and future proof networks that meet Clients’ existing and future requirements for networked applications. The process includes JCL conducting intensive site surveys, coordinating the design process, managing procurement, applying extensive testing and commissioning procedures, and the implementation of LAN/WAN connectivity.
  • The provision of Internet services via DSL Wireless & VSAT – JCL has the experience and expertise to allow the client to make informed decisions regarding the different transmission technologies deployed and serving WAN infrastructures. By understanding the clients needs fully JCL IT solutions deliver the most efficient communications systems possible for the client’s business operations
  • The provision of Voice Over Internet Protocol systems (VOIP) – From the basic office to office international systems to intrinsically safe on-site systems in remote and harsh locations that are integrated with a company’s LAN, WAN and wireless systems JCL can provide the VOIP solution that exactly matches business requirements.
  • Evaluation of Back Up & Recovery needs – In the event of a serious physical or software problem it is vital that not only data is backed-up and secured, but that it is also recoverable within the time limits required. Using a layered approach to protecting applications, servers and storage, JCL is able to provide clients with the availability of data, performance and automation they require.

As well as giving informed advice and consultation within the boundaries of network solutions, JCL International also ensure that ISO-17799/BS-7799 standards are adhered to.

Managed Network Services

Managed Network Services (MSN) from JCL help the client define computing infrastructure needs and assists in the development of a plan for migration from the existing computing environment to that infrastructure.

JCL works with clients to produce ideal solutions to I.T. network and infrastructure problems that are correctly sized and scalable. The client’s business requirements are defined first, in order to establish and agree the necessary technical requirements. JCL will then define the new network hardware configuration, software application portfolio, PC LAN services configuration, network layout, implementation cost plus the necessary customization to meet the specific requirements.

In partnership with the client, JCL will work to develop plans and procedures for implementing or making changes to the services and policies and supporting network infrastructure.

Managed Network Solutions can range from services as basic as providing a firewall solution for a small company to comprehensive security lifecycle management for global enterprises.

JCL tailors solutions comprised of multiple layers. These layers include firewall management, virtual private networks (VPN), intrusion detection solutions, virus scanning, Web site security assessments, 24x7 monitoring, applet scanning, content inspection, and URL blocking and as a package deliver MNS to Clients.
