Planning Manager

The Planning Manager is responsible for the overall planning and programming of the Project from the Site Acquisition to Hand-over. You will assist all Construction and Project Managers in the preparation of Construction Programmes, Planning Procedures, Site Logistical Layouts, Appearance Layouts, Progress Monitoring and Reporting throughout the life cycle of the Project and in the preparation of Service Proposals to Clients. In addition, you will be required to assist the Construction and Project Managers in the management of sub-contractor design development and project coordination.

Responsibilities

1. Present realistic programmes with key milestones for Projects, including written commentaries
2. Introduce value Engineering items prior to tendering
3. Time and cost analysis, utilizing the latest building technology advances, reconciling the benefits of a more expensive build cost against early hand-over or vice-versa
4. Resource planning to validate programmes
5. Progress monitoring and reporting
6. Obtain realistic programmes including critical path and milestones
7. Monitor progress of all parties involved in the Project
8. Cost effective resolution of planning duties for times of increased workload
9. Effective control and distribution of Information

11. On Design Management
1. Set up programmes, schedules and even organize cluster meetings with relevant parties to ensure all are working to the same end
2. Devise programmes to have effective control of the design process to ensure it doesn't impede on construction works further down the line
3. Information Release Schedules that will give a clear record of when the information is required and when it actually arrived
4. Creation of Bid Event Schedules
5. Technical Query service where Planning Manager will look at drawings for the project and raise any questions that may prevent construction of the works
