The Planning Manager is responsible for the overall planning and programming of the Project from the Site Acquisition to Hand-over. You will assist all Construction and Project Managers in the preparation of Construction Programmes, Planning Procedures, Site Logistical Layouts, Appearance Layouts, Progress Monitoring and Reporting throughout the life cycle of the Project and in the preparation of Service Proposals to Clients. In addition, you will be required to assist the Construction and Project Managers in the management of sub-contractor design development and project coordination.
Responsibilities
- Present realistic programmes with key milestones for Projects, including written commentaries
- Introduce value Engineering items prior to tendering
- Time and cost analysis, utilizing the latest building technology advances, reconciling the benefits of a more expensive build cost against early hand-over or vice-versa
- Resource planning to validate programmes
- Progress monitoring and reporting
- Obtain realistic programmes including critical path and milestones
- Monitor progress of all parties involved in the Project
- Cost effective resolution of planning duties for times of increased workload
